On 26 November, seven RAP-Lyon activists removed advertising from Boulevard Charlemagne in Lyon’s 2nd district, France. The event began at 7pm at Perrache station, then moved southwards to finish in front of the Confluence shopping centre at around 11pm.

The action removed around 20 ads in two ways: simple removal (15 lollipops and bus shelters), and covering (6 posters) on the theme of children reacting to the promise of an alarming socio-environmental future, and calling the onlookers to question their consumption patterns and the legacy left to young people.

Slogans on the posters read:
“Advertiser, will you shut up?”
“Stop encouraging over-consumption!”
“Black Friday for Humanity.”
“Accumulating does not make you happy.”
“Ads takes up too much space!!”
