Twelve bus stop advertising panels in Lisbon (Alvalade, Lumiar and Campo Grande) have been replaced with artworks discussing positive alternatives for urban life, as part of Subvertisers international day of action to challenge the dominance of corporate advertising messages in public space. This action aims at discussing the uses of the public space and the right to a city that that does not sell itself to corporation and consumerism, but instead promotes biodiversity, healthy lifestyles, the right to difference and solidarity. Imagine a city where trees replace ads and people and animals (and all living things) can feed from them.
