Families’ fabric takeover (Lismore, Australia)

Mothers and their children took to the streets of Lismore on Friday the 24th of March to cover advertising on bus shelters with their own messages sewn onto fabric sheets.

The children produced their own protest posters and displayed them for passers by.

One of the children’s posters read: “Don’t kill the coral!” referring to the coral bleaching that is destroying much of the nearby Great Barrier Reef.
